Without doubt we can say that the property and in particular the second home market during the last decades has seen many highs as well as quite a few lows. A very healthy growth after the bleak years between 1990-1996 and now we are in the middle of a dip due to world recession. However The ALGARVE always has and still is a favourite holiday destination for many people, especially the Brits as it is easy reachable and has a sound political and weather climate. It is notable that for example 60% of the properties in the Lagos district now are second home properties and betweeen 50-60% of those are owned by British people.

If you already own a property it is a must to maintain it well in order to keep its value as an asset. If you do not own a property yet it now seems to be the time to puchase one as it is a buyers market as never before!!!
